April's Interlude

I wrote a little six book series called Lakehouse Security. The last book, Repeating Love, came out last month in October. In that series one of the main characters is the head of a secret government team called Demon Elite. I decided to do a spin-off series.

The first book of the series is called Crash and will be available through eXtasy Books at the beginning of the year.

WIP Excerpt

Elijah could feel his heart boom out a fast rhythm against his chest as Crash pulled the gun from his waistband and pulled the door open just a crack. Crash’s raised the gun and held his arm out through the crack, letting anyone out there know he had a gun and would shoot.
“Crash.”
“Yeah.”
“I’m scared.”
“I’ve got this.”
Crash pulled the door open and propelled them forward. He moved so fast Elijah felt like he was floating. Crash basically carried him wherever he wanted Elijah to go. He thought about how he must look, plastered up against Crash as if he was physically attached to the guy. It was a weird thing to think about in that moment when two cops were pointing guns at their heads.
Crash walked backwards, not taking his eyes off the cops, who were advancing slowly. “When we get to the elevators, press the button to open the doors,” Crash whispered to him.
Elijah nodded. “Okay.”
One of the cops moved his body slightly and Crash said, “I wouldn’t if I were you. I’ll get a shot off before I go down.”
Elijah clung to Crash at just the thought of one of those cops shooting him. “Please,” Elijah whispered.
“Go to the elevators,” Crash whispered back.
“No. I can’t leave you.”
“Do it now, Elijah.” Crash made a gesture with his head, telling Elijah to go to the elevators on the left side of the hallway. Elijah pressed the button and then practically ran to Crash, grabbing the back of his shirt in his fist. He tried to pull Crash back, wanting him to move faster, but it was like trying to push a wall. Impossible.
The elevator door dinged and Elijah pulled harder. A shot went off and Elijah couldn’t tell whose gun it was. He heard something hit the floor and thought maybe Crash had dropped the gun which didn’t make sense. Crash turned and grabbed Elijah so quickly it startled him, making him squeal in surprise. He clung to Crash as they moved into the elevator just as the doors were about to shut.
Elijah started to run his hands over Crash, trying to find out if he was injured, when Crash put him down. “Are you okay? I thought I heard you drop the gun.”
“I’m fine. I’m the one that took the shot. At the floor and then gave them back their gun. One less crime I just committed if they got it back. Just needed to keep them off us for a few seconds. Long enough to get in the elevator.” He had a scowl on his face as he looked at Elijah. “Next time I tell you to do something. You don’t argue.”
Elijah took a step away from Crash. He nodded his head once, indicating that he understood, and wrung his hands together. The elevator door opened and Elijah took a step forward.
“Not this one. Wait until the next one. They’ll be looking to see what floor we get off of. They’ll think we took the first floor the elevator stopped on.”
“Okay.”
Crash pressed the closed door button and they were closed in again. “I know what I’m doing. You have to trust me.”

WIP – Archives

This is a little different then my Friday post on April Kelley’s blog as I’m going to show use a little about the things I was working on before I went into MM – saying this it means there will def be some female parts (maybe a LOT of them, especially early on)

Anyway, I decided to do this for a little holiday treat. Hope you enjoy

Note: this is an OLD file, well before I learned anything other than just writing. So you may find sentences that don’t finish, or quite make sense, and I apologies in advance for that. I did not re-read the story before posting.

Wish to start with the fact that I do plan on writing this series, though it’s dark. Blood and sex dark and I can’t wait to get into it. I don’t mind sharing because there are 2 main books to come before this one will be re-written and published

Sick Day

Last week I was sick.

I hate it when it happens, as ever since I had my bout of Swine Flu that landed me in the hospital for 6 weeks as my body suffered the consequences.

Ever since then I have been getting sick in a way different than before. Saying I will get sleepy and lake in energy throughout the week and then end up with 3 days of intense symptoms and then, done.

That was my last week. I had a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day (tried once not to and yet fell asleep, nearly sleeping through picking my kids up) and then by dinner time I was bone tired again. itchy sour eyes and everything.

This time round I had vividly real dreams, however that could be because of the massive heat wave. But who knows. Anyway, over the week I did a little more work on my how to ebook. I feel like I’m missing something massive, and there’s no way I’ll be able to pay for it to be proof read – not yet anyway. However I’m thinking I’ll put it up on my blog (and BonyDee blog) which will be able to download and either see if I’m correct (or tell me if I’m missing anything) or well use it.

I’d like to get it out as soon as possible, though I know its probably still a little rough. As I see if you can’t really help anyone if its sitting in my file box.

This week I really want to get at least one of my stories finished.

I want to download and start learning how to use Photoshop (idesign as Photoshop basic isn’t what I need) however I want to use them both together and then separately as I can’t really afford both products and yet if I need both then I’ll have to. but I’ve had the first for a week trail and if I download then second for the trial that will give me a week without the first.)

And that’s about it. Mostly I just want to finish at least one of my books this month, then the other 2 in the following month. However I do believe I will be having family time after Christmas, which means I’ll just take my laptop out and write while they do other things. Swim mostly, they always swim if there able to.

I’m saying this as I’m not going to start the following years program of writing (which includes 8 complete fresh ideas and 2 revamps)

And that’s for me this week, thanks for sticking round
