The Importance of Meaning – A November series post

Why is this important to you? What makes it special? What do you hope other will get out of this book?

The November series is the first book I have ever written and published that has meant this much to me. I’m not saying my other ones hadn’t been important, but they didn’t give me butterfly just because they exist.

I wrote this book at the beginning of the year right before I started editing for the Moonlit Wolves series, it was around my first writers block. Okay, so maybe not my first as I have this thing of not writing when my children are home, and they had been on school holidays for 3 weeks by the time my fingers itched and I had to write, but nothing was coming to mind.

I did a list, which had me interested in the research, and once I started reading the story just flowed from me.

I have been in love with it ever since. I’ve worked extra hard to try and get it as perfect as possible, but I fear. I fear more than I probably will with other in the series, because I wrote it before I fully understood the industry, and I mean understand it in a way that can only come by public opinion.

I haven’t written this book, nor will I write the series, in a way to tell you the technical happenings for each health problem, for one, because I haven’t experiences most of them first hand, and for another reason because no every experiences the same thing.
I also wanted it to be more about the emotions, more about the people around the sick person, the caregivers.
I want to bring out the most stressful moments, the ones we tend to forget or look over because they were hard and yet they were selfish moments, but they are just as important as the surgeries or treatments, meetings and programs. Those silent moments of complete loss and selfishness are just as important and they are something we all feel and even though we still, won’t feel comfortable with them, we are allowed to know others are feeling it too.

This one, especially is about a man who is scared shitless of being trapped, but becomes more so at being left alone. He becomes an emotional outlet, a rock in ways he never thought he’d be able to do. And he allows himself to feel love for a man he’s been falling for since the moment they met.

And yeah, that might be a spoiler in some people’s eyes, but this is a HEA romance, what else was meant to happen, lol
