The Month of Jan

Okay, so even though I did a ‘what I’m want to write this year’ thing, I thought I’d get a little less intense and just talk what I want to do this month.

So, I self-published My Kevin (you can pick it up here) via Smashwords, or threw them, I’m not sure anymore since I used there ISBN number I’m confused.
They also say that I have a problem with that book, and that I need to fix it, but I’ve done that three times now, and still the problem persists.
So, I’m over it. it’s a free story, and it’s short, so I’m not as worried as I would have been if I was making people pay for it. But if you found the mistake I’d made, tell me, I’d really like to know what it is I did wrong and fix it.

I’m also confused at how I get the book into other places. I put it up on goodreads, but it doesn’t have it’s cover. I’m not sure what that’s all about, as well as how to get it on aRe but I’ll look into it. Maybe email someone.

This month is school holiday, and I made a promise to my family that I wouldn’t get to intense with my writing when the kids where awake. Okay, so, it was done when they were still at home. Now at school, I make it a promise, to not write things that will get me worked up when they were home. Which makes me have an actually ‘work time’. Which just doesn’t work when they are home.
That too, and I have to deal with a 6 and 8 year old stuck inside all day. It’s super fun.

This month, I would like to work on my blog story: The Last Year of my Life, so that I’m a few post in and all I have to do is re-read them, fix them up and post, but I just can’t find any motivation for it.
Or maybe it’s that I have way too much and my personality type is, ignore until you can’t. So writing it will make me think about things I don’t need to think about yet.

It’s also the problem I’m going to face with my Breast Cancer book, which means that, will be more about me purging those memories than anything.

My plans, as they were, were for me to finish Trusting Your Eyes (Book A) because I have figured out how to do it, and I’ve added what needs adding to the chapters I have already written, but I’m still stuck on this fucking sex scene, it’s hard.
It’s like I’m limp as I try to fuck someone. It kinda makes me think of Family Guy and the Ketchup bottle.
·         (as it rest now: 7,966 words, just started chapter 7)

Then there’s the need to finish Rub of my Werewolf (moonlit wolves #6) because at the least I’ll have a book for every month until June.
·         As it rest now: 8,611 words, nearing the end of chapter 5)

I’ve also started Love Without Knowing It, with a hope that I can finish this story before the end of Jan, mostly because I’ll need a beta on this one asap, and my beta goes back to Uni in Feb.
·         (as it rests now: 2,618 words, just starting chap 3)

·         The difference between the books? TYE & LWKI is a min of 10k with bout 1k a chap. Where MW6 is 15k min with 2k chapters. If you were interested in knowing.

Oh, and I’m not sure if I’m meant to mention this so let’s put this under footnote: My first book Loved by a Werewolf by eXastybooks comes out of 15th January. It’s what they said in the email, and as long as everything goes right I’m sure that’s when it will be published. But I’ll add more when it comes in.

But basically, if I do anything this month I will see it as a victory, if not, than I won’t stress about it, because it’s a horrid time to do anything.
That too, and do you know how annoying it is to be in the middle of a hot and heavy sex scene and then your kid comes up to you and asks for a drink, and then asks, and asks. It turns hot into a rush and usually you have to re-write the whole thing.
