Driving home

I have been looking at a lot of other authors’ blog sights lately and the one thing they all have in common is the fact that they all show thing that inspire them, and all that crap. You know the natural world when they go walking outside, when there blocked and all that.

Unlike them, I don't do much nature crap. It’s not that I don't like the outdoors or that I wouldn't go out there with the family--hell I spent more time then not on family holidays going out looking for phantoms falls that were never there. And trails that led to nowhere in particular and my favourite is being sting by leaves. But I don't particularly find anything when looking at them, or when I'm out in the world. Honestly I'm the type that lives so fully in my head that it’s not the fact that I need inspiration for the story, just to write.

Saying this, on the way home today there was a shit load of traffic and so we were stopped at traffic lights that isn’t always stopped at, and saying this, I’m getting a brain twist and know I’m going to stuff all this up.

Anywho, I was sitting there, my son telling me how cool the birds in it were and I noticed for, I think, the first time that the background of the whole thing is a bush fire. Which is a big thing when your living in the Blue Mountains—or use to, really, the rain these last couple of years have been fucking that up, how I miss the smell of gum burning out of control in the local area.

I’m serious about the smell, not so much the out of control fire in the area.

Anyway, here are two photos of the picture; it was pained by a local school

The other side of the tunnel is pretty cool to and when I can I will get a pic for that as well. but still, this one is an alright painting, and saying that it's mostly, just not my type of picture than anything. what I love is the fire in the background.

this isn't all of it, the second picture that tree on the right is more complete and has an owl purched on it's branch.

Thanks for your time

What I got while Shopping

So I was shopping, and like always I got myself some books which I shouldn't but these are the ones that I really wanted. Or more three of the four are the ones I was to going to get no matter what.

So have a look at the latest books to fill my shelf, they are also the ones that I will most likely be reading this weekend.

Alterant, by Sherrilyn Kenyon & Dianna Love. book 2 in the Belador series

In this explosive new world of betrayals and shaky alliances, the only Alterant not incarcerated faces an impossible task recapturing three dangerous, escaped creatures before they slaughter more humans... or her.

The Darkest Surrender by Gena Showalter. book 8 in the Lords of the Underworld series

Lords of the Underworld returns in this entralling tale of an immortal warrior determined to win and the beautiful seductress he can't resist.

Twilgith Fulfilled by Maggie Shayne. book 2 in the Children of Twilight series, which is a series off Wings in the Night series

they're all that stands between us... and the end of the world.
Where Demons Fear to Tread by Stephanie Chong. this is her debut

Where angels fall from grace and demons fall in love.

'Welcome to Devil's Paradise.'
The arch demon's voice was low and deep.
His fingers caressed her through the fabric of her dress.
'Your soul - or his, Serena. Choose.'

So there you have it... the new books I have. I really need to, you know, stop buying books until I have finished the ones I've gotten. but really, the first three are the ones that I would have gotten anyway. There the books that would have not eated for a week just to get them.

that's all
Thanks for you time

book review (Blood Trinity)

Supernatural warriors bound by an extraordinary code of honour face an ultimate test of loyalty in this gripping and sizzling new paranormal thriller series

    Prod dets
Blood Trinity
Series: The Belador Code series, book 1
Pub: 2010, (US Pocket book) Simon & Schuster, Inc.
Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon & Dianna Love
Cat: paranormal romance
Format: paperback (mid); 334 pp w/ 40 chapters
Age Range: adult

                Synopsis
Atlanta has become the battlefield between humans and demons. All her life, Evalle Kincaid has walked the line between the two. Her origins unknown, she’s on a quest to learn more about her past—and her future.

When a demon claims the life of a young woman in a terrifying attack and there’s no one else to blame, Evalle comes under suspicion. Now she’s on a deadly quest for her own survival and she must prove her innocence or pay the ultimate price.

But saving herself is the least of her problems if she doesn’t stop the coming apocalypse. The clock is ticking and Atlanta is about to catch fire...

      my Thoughts (review)
A group of warriors from the Celtic times and more so, at least this one is about Evalle who happens to be an Alterant, which is a being that cane change into a beast. Problem is they have trouble turning back, so it’s forbidden.

But that’s not the only problems she has to face in this book, first she has to help the group find a stone that only shows itself to the one that can wield it.  And even though that’s what the whole book is about, a stone, and its powers.

So she gets stuck with Strom, a good looking guy that has his own dark secrets but for all knowing in this book he’s to investigate a bunch of demons and Evilla, since her boss wants her locked away just ‘cause she’s what she is. But Storm doesn’t seem to be able to do that after he spends time with her. Seems his feeling for her may override everything.

And then there’s the chick that the stone will show itself too, but it’s not that important, just that she’s there and all.

I loved it; really it’s one of the first books that I have picked up and have absolutely loved straight on the bat. Especially since it’s not what I normally truly enjoy. It’s got a lot more to do with the outside, the construction of the world, and yet there was just enough about the people that kept me enjoying. It wasn’t overly spoken about, what everything was, was written in a way that was both simple and easy and quick. Not paragraph after paragraph of reading what things where when all you really want is to know what they are about to say.

This was a book that will go through the time. Or it will for me. It’s also one of those book that has a need for you to read the next one, but it’s not so high that you can’t hold off, can’t wait patiently until it comes out and when you know it’s about to hit the shelf, you end up hovering. ‘Cause it’s then that you want it, then when you have to read it. And there that good that you have no problems going without food for the week just to get it (not saying that’s what you would actually do, just that there good).

Pictures of Pictures

So I was looking at random crap and came across these, thought I'd share, no real reason why but they are really cool pic's--at least I think so, and well... what you think.

I got them from... crap. I can't actually remember, sorry. photobucket.. I think, maybe

Another Cover

So here's another cover for you all. It’s come off Bloggers[heart]Books and, well, it's...just another one I thought you might like to see.

it's Last Rite by Lisa Desochers, this is a book in the Personal Demons series.

Also, the blog (above) has a competition going for you to win the book that comes out in May 2012, I think. Sorry it's not all that important to me; the cover is pretty awesome, through. It’s for the US only, so...Yeah, thought I give it a little plug while I re-show what they had found. I'm not sure if I like it any better than the last two, but then I didn't actually get the second book in its original cover, and the books...well, they didn't really do all that much for me. But if this one's its last, maybe I’ll read it just to see how it all ends.

We’ll see what happens around that time, since it probably won’t come out in Australia till July, and well, that's when all the extra money comes in, right? So who knows.

Thanks for the time

a cover showing

I was doing my usual flicking threw blogs and I came across this....
[I found this on Paranormal Haven]

Book 11 of the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter--the Darkest Seduction, which is due out in Febuary 2012

This is Paris' book, though I can't get all that excited about it yet because by all rights I'm still wanting to for book 10, the darkest Surrender which comes out in Oct (and I'm supper sicked 'cause I'm more than sure it's out in Oct. yeah!)

still saying this, I'm not a 100% sure if I'm happy with this cover or if I want one to come out like all the others, 'cause I'm a person that likes her books to have the same covers--you know let them match. but this book, this cover, I may make an excepting because...man its a beauty, especally for a romance novel.

well that's it,
Thank-you all for you time.

book review (enslave me sweetly)

    (Re-read: now)
      Enslave Me Sweetly

She has the heart of a killer. And the body of an angel...
Cold-blooded assassin. Hot-blooded passion... Edan Black always gets her man.

Prod Dets: Alien Huntress series, book two
Pub: 2006,
Author: Gena Showalter
Format: paperback; 306 pages w/ 30 chapters
Whose: Edan & Lucius
Age range: Adult (5)

Synopsis: Edan Black walks among humans, protecting them from the murderous evil of other-worlders who abduct and enslave. And though she appears to be human herself, Edan is an alien, a Raka, distinguished by her golden hair and skin, and gifted with the ominous ability to kill without remorse – and with total accuracy. That is, until the fateful night she has one shot to eliminate her target, a human slaver – and misses.
“Failure” is not in Edan’s vocabulary. Neither is “partner” – but that’s what she is forcibly assigned after recovering from disastrous mission. A sexy, steel-nerved human agent, Lucius Adaire enjoys nothing more than sparking the fury – and rousing the desire – of the fiery female assassin too proud to admit defeat. Locked in an assignment they cannot afford to lose, Lucius and Edan find themselves bound in two high-stakes, heart-pounding games: the sensual web of kill or be killed, and the erotic dance of seduction.

Review: this book, to me, was a long time in loving. Mostly because I didn’t particularly like the words, the whole alien thing just isn’t my thing, so saying that her world is actually really well done. But...
I loved Edan; she’s a kickass woman who knows what she wants and what she doesn’t even if her body is saying she does. It’s one of those books that seems more about lust, but when things get down to it, you can really see that Lucius is a perfect male for her.
Okay, so mostly this book is about them both really, really wanting each other but that’s it, sex. They don’t want it to be anything else, even though it’s clearly there. Though saying this, it’s in first person, Edan’s thoughts, and so, we don’t really know what Lucius is feeling.
I loves the situation too, loved the fact that Edan was like so many other woman out there, the harder ones that can’t quite seem to measure up, or at least that’s how she sees it. and that character, the harder, need driven character works so well with both the plot and the lover, there isn’t anything soft about Edan, she wants what she wants and in a way that’s all feminine.
I loved her and even though the world did nothing for me, this book defiantly did.

Other books in series: Awaken Me Darkly, Savor Me Slowly, Seduce the Darkness, Ecstasy in Darkness, Dark Taste of Rapture,

Thoughts while Marathoning...(part 2)

for more info on this click here & Part 1

So it's been a little before I started reading again. really I have bought more books then I have been reading and all that but still... let's start this again.
9/9: I can't get over the fact that it had begun, like, over a year ago. this book was all about the reconnecting, only we didn't know there was anything to reconnect too. or am I missing something, should there be a short story or something to go with this book. and if not, Christine Feehan should really think about writing one, just so its out there. I think it would also be a lot better than reading the book the way it's done. I found it at a point where it should be finished about half way threw the things. anyway. that's it..or if I say any more I'll begin to review the thing here. so learn more read my review!
16/9: so this book was... yeah, if you have read other reviews about this books, it's best if you keep them. I didn't give them the most flattering review, but then I just.. yeah, I can't like them, sorry.
these are the type of book that actually gets me in the mood to write, even if I wasn't in one for a while before. it's unfortunate that the book fell flat to me, I honestly will only read the second one 'cause I said I would, I made myself, that's it. they just... I'd like to say, not my type, but unfortunately for Descrochers, it is, and for that reason I probably have a bigger - I don't know, motivation to bitch. if the book was about fairies or witches, I would say it was 'cause it's not my thing, but Demons, are.. so, yeah.
  • 17/9: wrote 6 pages of next short story (for blog), it's written mostly because of the books above. though, saying that it's mostly just Hell, and though I tried to make it a YA story, it's not liking that as much as I would have hoped. but I'm not responsible for what my fingers do (funny as that is, it's only true while I'm writing a book). hoping to get the finished tonight (Sun, 18th). Its annoying 'cause it's really not coming out at all like I wanted it too. Bitch as it is, I wanted more hatred, but instead I got lust, go figure.
  • 21/9: bought two books, Envy by J.R.Ward & Storm Born by Richelle Mead, (both added to marathon) which is also why I posted two reviews, in this month, but not apart of the marathon but I thought I'd still mention then, because they were in this month
  •  22/9: finished the first, first draft of my YA book.
  • Book 11: Storm Born, book one in the Dark Swan series
Okay, so it seems that I'm done with my marathon of reading, since I did really shitly at it, I'm sorta glad it's over, though I still have a shit load of books to read. and I'll get to them, really at the end of all this I haven't read any more books than I would have any other month, but I haven't written nearly enough because I was focused on something I shouldn't have bothered with.

so know I'm moving onto something else, finishing my book so that I can give it to others to read. but that's more of a holiday thing. and doing research into my next project.

Thanks for the time
